Anthem Camarillo is part a family of churches helping people find their way back to God. The Anthem family of churches is united around shared mission, vision, values, and submission to the Lordship of King Jesus. In our cities, we are working to obey Jesus in helping people find their way back to God.

Principles of Discipleship
After spending time in Mark and looking at the principles of discipleship we identified a few key aspects of Discipleship.
Invitation to follow Jesus (Mark 1:17)
Following Jesus is being with Jesus
Following Jesus involves being changed by Jesus
Following Jesus includes joining Jesus mission
Jesus demonstrates what God is like, and what God wants to do.
Jesus explains
Jesus empowers, releases and trains.
If we are followers of Jesus we are sent ones into the spaces he’s called us. Most naturally the places we live, work, learn, eat and play. We want to join Jesus in his mission of sharing the good news of the gospel with those we encounter.
Our hope for the month of May for those who are disciples of Jesus is to view the month as a training opportunity to go into our community similar to how Jesus sent out his 12 apostles in Mark 6:7-13.
May Challenge
• Identify 3 People in your life that you long to know Jesus. Commit to praying for them daily.
• Tell someone in our church family who you’re praying for and ask them to pray with you and hold you accountable.
• Do something simple/intentional with or for that person. (Serve/bless them, eat with them, listen to their story)
• Ask Jesus to give you an opportunity to share something about the good news of Jesus with them.
• Be ready to share at Family Testimony Sunday at the end of May.
